Halle

Before school started this year, I had to take everyone to the doctor to update their immunizations. At the pediatrician, Spencer, Emma and Halle got to pick out a prize.

For our ward's Drive-In Movie Night, Halle designed a box car that she could sit in to watch the movie.

Halle, Emma and Spencer wait for the activity to begin.

Halle is in first grade this year. That means that she goes all day and gets to eat lunch in the cafeteria. Halle is doing very well and has been working with the gifted teacher on some special projects. Here she is on the first day of school.

We had some nice weather back in August so we went to the park.

We went to the pool this summer, even when it was a bit chilly.

We had a ward talent night and Halle was chosen from the audience to help with a magic trick. She picked a queen of diamond from a deck of cards and then gave it to the magician. He burned it up and then rubbed the ashes on his arm to reveal ... the queen of diamonds! It was really neat.

A few weeks ago, Halle took me down to her classroom to show me some of the projects that she has been working on. She had some pictures and some writing work. She had to write about her hero for a September 11th project and she wrote about me. It made me cry right there in the elementary school.
