Basketball

Basketball is over for another season. It's my favorite sport because it's inside, out of the weather, and the games only last an hour. With three kids on three different teams this year, our Saturdays could be quite hectic but, with the help of kind neighbors, I was able to get everyone where they needed to go. This was Halle's first season to play basketball. She was so excited to play and has quite a bit of natural skill. Halle made lots of baskets this season. She was #15 on the ThunderDragons team.

Emma also has a lot of athletic ability. She did a lot of stealing the ball, rebounding, and running
up and down the court with the ball. She was #2 on the Indian Valley Thunderbirds.

Here is Emma at her team pizza party with her trophy. We're building up quite a trophy collection.

This is Caleb and Caitlyn at the pizza party. Technology beats out family every time.

This is Caleb's last season of Rec ball. Next year, he'll play on a school team. He's had a great season with lots of blocks, assists and baskets. They won round one of the tournament and then were barely beaten by the #1 team. Caleb is #11 on the Knights.

This picture shows how my lovely computer has started to screw up my pictures. Computers - they're fabulous when they work and a nightmare when they don't. This is Caleb at his team pizza party. He's on crutches because he's knee has been hurting him quite badly. I took him in to the doctor and was told he has Osgood-Schlatter Disease. This is just a condition that growing athletes get where their quadriceps muscle pull the knee tendons off of the tibia. Ouch. It should go away in a week or so if he can keep off his knee. Hopefully, it will be all better in three weeks because that's when baseball starts.
