Taste of Sam's

Today was Sam's Club's annual holiday food sample extravaganza. Yes, it is an event that is put on the calendar and looked forward to with much anticipation. We loaded up and headed over there this evening with visions of sugarplums dancing in our heads. And maybe a smackerel of roast beast. Here's what we tried:

  • sparkling grape juice, both red and white
  • turtle cheesecake
  • blueberry muffin
  • filet of beef
  • pork roast
  • chips and dip
  • sliced meat and cheese
  • brie
  • honey glazed ham (ah, remember the days)
  • pork loin
  • shrimp with cocktail sauce
  • red velvet cheesecake
  • crackers
  • bagel
  • mini quiche
  • fruit dipped on chocolate
  • pretzels and dip
  • cinnamon roll
  • pies - apple, pumpkin, harvest and cherry
  • a partridge in a pear tree
So, after we waddled on out to the car, I'll bet you can guess what the first words out of the kids' mouths were. "What's for dinner!"
