Last week, Spencer and I had a big conversation about the difference between Sprite and 7-Up. I told him they were basically the same thing but they were made by different companies so they had to have different names.
Tonight, as we listened to the bugs outside, he told me that boy bugs are called locusts and girls are called cicadas. I said that people call those bugs by different names in different parts of the country, like I used to call them katydids when I was little. "I know!" he said. "They have different names because they're made by different companies!"
I guess he really does listen to what I say. Smart kid.
