Emma began her softball season on Friday. Her team is the Thunder and they have new fancy red uniforms. Emma did a great job batting and she also played shortstop most of the time. She had a lot of fun and is looking forward to her next game on Tuesday.
And, since we never do just one thing at a time, after Emma's game, we had to go pick up Caleb from a campout. He had a game the next morning so he couldn't spend the night. When we got to the park, the gate to the road was locked so Emma, Halle, Spencer and I had to walk in to the campsite. The sun had set but it was still light until we got to the muddy gravel road. By the time we found Caleb, it was full dark and we were all muddy. The plus side was that Spencer got to pee in the woods. He thought that was the funniest thing ever. We sat around the campfire for a bit before heading out and getting the kids into bed WAY past their bedtime.
