School's Out!

Halle had her last day of kindergarten on Tuesday. She etched her teacher's name on a vase and filled it flowers for an end-of-year gift.

After school, we had a picnic with the class and played on the playground. Here's my little monkey up in a tree.

Wednesday was the last day of school for the big kids. Caitlyn and Caleb cleaned out their lockers on Friday and were instructed to bring no backpacks to school on Tuesday or Wednesday, only a pen to sign yearbooks. So you know those last two days of school were brimming with some quality education. Emma brought her teacher some flowers.

Emma had Mrs. Rooks this year who is a fabulous teacher - so kind. Caitlyn also had her for a teacher when she was in first grade.

After school, we walked to Chipotle for lunch.

Along the way, we discovered a newly fallen tree that was begging to be climbed. We also saw a blue heron, which was quite a treat.

So, summer has officially begun. Spencer squirted out a tube of waterproof sunscreen in my bathroom. Do you have any idea how hard that is to clean up? After all, it is waterproof.
