The kids returned to school on Tuesday, January 5, after two weeks of winter break. They were all excited to go see their friends and get back into a normal routine. Little did they know that we were expecting a "MAJOR BLIZZARD! Get your water! Stay inside! It's Coming!!!" So, school was cancelled for the next day. Wednesday came and we all slept in but no snow. We went out and ran errand and no snow. We stayed in and got bored an no snow. Finally, flakes began to appear around 3:00 in the afternoon. By morning, I was back out shovelling the driveway and sidewalks and there was no school for Thursday either.

Caleb was able to snowboard down the sidewalk all of the way down to the end of the street. We were starting to get a little stir-crazy because, after all, we had just finished two weeks of vacation and I was out of fun things to do. Off we went to Chick-
fil-a for lunch so the kids could play and I could sit and read a book. Needless to say, we were the only ones in the place because everyone else was still at home with their jugs of
wayer handy. While we were there, we got the message that school would be cancelled for Friday as well. We celebrated by going to the mall. Again, we were practically the only ones there.

Caleb's friend, Nate had spent the night on Wednesday then Caleb spent the night over at his house on Thursday. When school was cancelled yet again, they went for the
trifecta and had one more sleepover. While Caleb was gone, I took the little kids swimming. You can barely see the snow drifts outside the window but it was nice and toasty inside.
