Spring Break

Here's what we did with our Spring Break. Monday, we went to the indoor pool where the kids exhausted themselves running, swimming, splashing and sliding.

Spencer says, "Real men wear pink goggles."

Tuesday, Caleb got up early for a two day scout campout. The rest of us went to the movies.

Wednesday, I had a gift certificate for the Legends shopping center so we drove up there and arrived just as it started to rain. We hid out in TJ Maxx until it stopped and managed to get everyone a little something with my gift certificate. Here they are in front of the main fountain.

When we were done shopping, we went to the Russell Stover store for some clearance chocolates and Blue Bell ice cream cones.

Rainbow cream is always a favorite flavor.

Thursday, we went over to Independence, MO and visited the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum.

It was a very good museum and I learned lots of things. The kids enjoyed dressing up in old clothes, making a campaign button, and trying to figure out how they could get over to the eternal flame in the courtyard. Dad said that when he was on his mission here, he got to talk with Pres. Truman, who was working in his office here at the time.
The kids also spent a lot of time outside, playing with the neighbor kids, Julia and Christian. It's back to school tomorrow.
